Feeling Down? Want To Get Lifted Up?

Today I came across this wonderful video below that puts so many things into perspective. I was indeed feeling down when I came across this video on Youtube and it really cheered me up (see video below).  I’ve always heard that if you are feeling down start to think about all that you have and it will brighten your day. I know that you are probably thinking “Ya right, that sounds so fluffy.” Fluffy or not, it’s true. When you start to be grateful for all that you have you will find that it can really change your life.

Amazing Love – The Love of Jesus

love of Jesus is the key

I was recently listening to a different version of “Amazing Love” a truly moving Christian song. This song really deeply touched my spirit when I heard it. The video to this particular version of “Amazing Love” is below if you want to quickly hear it now.

When I think about how much love Jesus had for me it truly is amazing. In this song it says:

“Amazing love

O what sacrifice

The Son of God

Given for me

My debt he paid

And my death he died

That I might live”

How many of us would sacrifice their life for a stranger? Jesus did. He did this so … read more

UnderStanding Natural Disasters or Bad Situations

Often times we can’t understand why natural disasters happen or why bad things happen to us in life. But sometimes you just have to be still and know that there is a God. A God who loves us and has a purpose for our lives, no matter how complex the situation is there is a reason for that situation. It could be to test your faith or what ever reason that the Lord has, He knows best.

We don’t think like the Lord. The Lord’s thought process is far greater than ours, so we need to just trust in His decisions, … read more

Is It Normal For Christians To Get Depressed?

So do Christians get depressed? Of course they do! What’s so amazing is that the times that I got the most depressed was when I was far away from the Lord. It was when I wasn’t going to church and doing my own thing. I’ve been raised a Christian since I was a kid, so part of me wanted to deviate from it. It’s just like a child wanting to touch a hot stove to see what’s going to happen. You are going to get burned! So I did, many, many times!

See what it says in Galatians 5, when … read more

Does God Hear Our Prayers?

For a while whenever my prayers were not answered I used to wonder “Does God hear my prayers?” I put so much passion and pleading into it and it seemed like nothing was done or heard.

The situation that I’m talking about was a certain job for my husband. I would tell my husband I’m 100% confident that you got the job. The job is yours. I prayed about it passionately and it’s yours! You know he never did get that job. I pumped him up and myself, and boy was it a let down. I was angry, because I … read more

The Ten Commandments- A Guide To Living A Christian Life

Exodus 20 (New International Version)

Exodus 20:3-17

The Ten Commandments

3 “You shall have no other gods before  me.

4 “You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing love to … read more

Have A Merry Christmas And Share The Spirit of Christmas!

stable-Jesus-birth

Hi everyone,

Christmas time is approaching and I would just like to wish everyone a Happy Christmas and a Wonderful New Year! As the years pass the true purpose of Christmas seems to be passing as well. Now the main reason why we celebrate Christmas is to celebrate the birth of Jesus.

Others will tell you that Christmas was originally a pagan festival. Whatever others say the true meaning in our hearts is to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Since the birth of Jesus, it has been a tradition to acknowledge Him this way. It’s just … read more

Who is Jesus? Over 2,000 years ago Jesus was crucified in Israel for saying that "He is the son of God." Unfortunately at that time they didn't know any better that they were indeed crucifying "the son of God." The nature of man is that we have both good and evil in us, which in God's eyes is not acceptable in heaven. Jesus came to take away our sins so that we could all be accepted into heaven. He paid the price for man's sins. That is why I love him so much, because he loved me even before I could ever know him.
