Fear and Faith Run Parallel To Each Other

praise god Fear and Faith Run Parallel To Each OtherHi,

I once heard a great person say that “Fear and Faith are relatively the same.” What? When a bad situation comes upon us, at that moment we can choose fear or faith. We can have faith in God that He will protect us and take us through it or we could just be full of fear. I was amazed when I heard that!

There have been many times in my life that I choose to be full of fear and then the Lord took me through it anyway.

I literally was a worry wart as they say. It must have really troubled the Lord to see that I lacked so much faith. I could only image what Moses and the people with him thought when they faced the Red Sea as they were running away from the Egyptian Pharaoh and his army. Imagine this, they literally had to stop running because they faced no more land just a rushing sea in front of them!

In Matthew 17 verse 20 Jesus says, ” I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” So what did Moses do? He looked at that big sea in front of him, called upon God, and then commanded it to move! Well then guess what happened? The Red Sea parted in half for Moses and his people to across over on dry land. So walls of water was just standing at their sides as a path was made for them. Wow! What a site that must have been!

When all of the people with Moses had safely crossed over then the sea went back to normal and swallowed up the Pharaoh’s army that was right behind them. So God also got rid of their enemies or the problem for them as well! No more worrying for them! You see how God is good?

I have to remind myself of it in times of trouble. There was a time in my life when I was severely depressed. Then to my amazement this Bible verse came to me. I don’t remember how it came but here it is, ” For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7 . So now I’m going to memorize that Bible verse to have it with me in my mind whenever I need it!

Really why do we need to memorize verses from the Bible? I believe it will make the Lord happy to know that we are studying the Word of God and it will give us peace in moments when we really need it! Because these verses are stored in our mind it will quickly pop up in different times in our lives to reassure us. So I really think to get rid of fear you need to start memorizing great scriptures from the Bible. Or just scriptures that really move you! God Bless!

Who is Jesus? Over 2,000 years ago Jesus was crucified in Israel for saying that "He is the son of God." Unfortunately at that time they didn't know any better that they were indeed crucifying "the son of God." The nature of man is that we have both good and evil in us, which in God's eyes is not acceptable in heaven. Jesus came to take away our sins so that we could all be accepted into heaven. He paid the price for man's sins. That is why I love him so much, because he loved me even before I could ever know him.
