Who Is Jesus?

Who is Jesus? Over 2,000 years ago Jesus was crucified in Israel for saying that “He is the son of God.” Unfortunately at that time they didn’t know any better that they were indeed crucifying “the son of God.”

The nature of man is that we have both good and evil in us, which in God’s eyes is not acceptable in heaven. Jesus came to take away our sins so that we could all be accepted into heaven. He paid the price for man’s sins. That is why I love him so much, because he loved me even before I could ever know him!

When you stop to think about it, even the modern day calendar is based on the birth of Jesus. For example, if the year we are currently in is 2010, then that means 2010 A.D (Anno Domini, Latin for “year of our Lord”).  So it’s been 2,010 years since the birth of Jesus Christ. And anything “Before Christ” would have the short form B.C. For example, 10,000 B.C would mean 10,000 years before the birth of Christ! Is that not interesting? Jesus really was here on earth!

So who is Jesus and where did He come from? Jesus was born from a virgin called, “Mary.” A virgin became pregnant! What??? Obviously, that’s humanly impossible without some divine intervention. A child was growing within her conceived from the Holy Spirit. That is why Jesus is called the ‘son’ of God.

Jesus lived for 33 years before he was crucified. During that time on earth the people of that era saw a lot of “great miracles” and totally mind blowing events that happened right in front of their eyes. Jesus made a blind man see, healed the sick, drove out demons out of people, walked on water and even raised the dead! So that is why to this day people are still talking about Jesus! His short time on earth was truly full of events that are breath taking!

In any society great people are always remembered. Like Albert Einstein, John Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Abraham Lincoln etc… Jesus far surpassed the above people! His time on earth can only be explained as God Himself in human form was walking and talking to people of that era!
